Great unit until it died just a little after two years. I had debated purchasing a much nicer unit like a Subzero and now I totally regret going down market as all my wine is ruined given the until’s compressor gave out and it overheated. I tried to return the unit working with Edgestar (who’s parent company is Ferguson). They were kind and told me they could help me diagnose the until to see what parts it needed but that they would not replace the unit. I was very upset as I had a bottle of Port from each of my kids’ birth years that I was storing to give them later in live. I sent an email to the CEO of Ferguson who passed this onto their Marketplace Lead. Again everyone was very cordial but they would not replace the until. The principle for me is that any refrigeration unit should last longer than two years even if the warranty is only two years. HIgher-end brands like Subzero and Miele have a much longer warranty on the unit and compressors. Do yourself a favor and get a better refrigerator as it will cost less in the long run.

I bought this unit because it was rated by Consumer Reports as one of the quietest units they tested. And indeed this unit is VERY quiet, especially for one with a compressor vs. thermoelectric, which is what this unit replaced. I have another, 5 year old wine cooler from a famous brand, which is MUCH noisier.

I keep both sides set to 55F and so I can’t really speak to how well or poorly it keeps one side at a different temperature.

And kudos to the distributor! My unit came in a slightly damaged carton, missing one of its leveling feet. It quickly replied to my email and sent a replacement part at no charge.

I have had my unit a little over a month now and, while still very early in the game, I am very pleased with this model and highly recommend it!

This fit perfectly into the space where my old failed cooler came out. I love the dual doors and the quiet compressor. I would have given it five stars, except for a problem I had installing the second handle. The two holes the bottom right screw had to go through were missaligned enough that the screw would bind as it got a little way into the handle. I had to drill the inside hole larger so the screw would align.

CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. We bought this wine chiller to replace a similar one that had failed. This one arrived promptly and was easy to set up and install. That is the good part. The chiller has subsequently stopped working and I have not been able to get any response on getting it repaired under the warranty. Since we purchased it through Amazon we started there who directed us to Compact Appliance who actually fulfilled the order who simply directed us to Edgestar (the manufacturer). You cannot speak to anyone there you must leave an online service request. This was ~45 days ago. Did it a second time to be sure I was in line. Received an automated response that they are "real busy" right now. Ironically, a few days ago I received an email survey form from them asking how they did in addressing my concern.
