Sadly, the shower pan arrived in a very damaged box, and even more sadly the pan itself was damaged too. To no fault of the seller though. The delivery driver literally ran this up to my porch and just sort of dropped it there and ran away. I did not have a chance to totally look the box over or question him about the damage because he left so quick. Upon pulling it out of the box, I immediately saw that it was cracked in in two of the corners. One corner was almost all the way broken off. Returning it would set us way back on the bathroom remodel project, so we asked the shower installer what he thought about the damage, and he actually said it was not an issue at all. The cracked parts would be covered up/be behind the drywall and the damage did not effect the structure or usability. So we had him install it. And it went in perfectly and looks really great!! No issues at all.

    I couldn’t believe that this shower pan was this sturdy at this price! I am doing an impromptu bathroom remodel during the major renovation of our house. I was going to leave this bathroom alone, but the contractor offered me a great deal to include it. So I purchased the tile I wanted and then went shopping for a shower pan. They’re pretty pricey - so when we found this, I figured what the heck. It had a tiny little chip on the bottom - which doesn’t show at all once it was installed - but other than that, it was perfect. I’m more than happy with this!

    Be aware that the actual size of this shower base is not as described in the Amazon listing. Actual size indicated on the information pamphlet included in the box indicates that the 34x34 shower pan is 34 1/4" wide. Measuring with my own tape measure got me closer to 34 1/2". If your studs are exactly 34" apart like mine are, then you won't be able to make this base fit.

    The base seems sturdily built, but the packaging isn't. When it arrived, the cardboard had been punctured by the base drain. There was no tape at the cardboard seams, the only thing that kept it together were two loose plastic bands. There was no packaging material to keep the base in place(styrofoam or bubble wrap), just a plastic base in a box. The drain cover clips into the base, but looks like it came loose in transport and arrived cracked. The base has a cutout for this non standard drain cover, so you can't just replace it with anything from a big box store.

    it is a little bit weird because the drain mold protrudes below the floor level.
    My husband is a plumber and he wasn't too impressed because the existing pipes had to be redone to accommodate.
    Weird design?
    you guessed it - made in China.
    but we kind of had no choice - this was the only square base 34" wide - and this was exact size we needed.

    the acrylic itself is sturdy, and no further complaints

    I installed this in a camper and it fit perfectly. The carton was damaged in shipping and the strainer was missing. I contacted Buildcom via Amazon and they sent one very quickly. I still have the walls to finish so I haven’t used it yet but it is well made and very sturdy.
