Update oct 2013:
I still really love these lamps but they have greatly discolored from the sun and conditions. My climate is not extreme so I find this disappointing.
I purchased several different versions of this style. While they were all magnificent, this one did not come with a wall base and it was to be used on the end of the brick wall that slops from the house. It was easy to find a base but I has to try to get a color match and paint the bases myself. Not a great job but luckily the lights are high enough no one will ever know.
If you plan to use them as is, the post is included.
Highly recommended, they are just as gorgeous as the picture has implyed
