How To Size a Lighting Fixture For Your Space

Dining Room Table

We recommend leaving approximately 30"- 36" between the bottom of your fixture and the surface of your dining table. The width of your fixture should be at least 6" narrower than the width of your table.

Kitchen Island (Pendants)

We recommend installing ceiling fixtures 30"-36" from the surface of your kitchen island. When installing multiple fixtures, the widest part of the fixtures should be spaced a minimum of 30" apart for optimal airflow, light spread, and visibility.

Vanity Lights Next To Mirror

To evenly illuminate a bathroom mirror from either side, we recommend mounting your sconce(s) just above eye level, or about 60"- 65" from the floor to the center height of the sconce backplate.

Vanity Lights Above Mirror

The ideal linear bath light will measure at least 3/4 the width of the mirror but not extend over its edges. For larger mirrors, consider mounting a pair of evenly spaced linear sconces.

As soon as I saw this lamp, I thought it would look perfect on my night stand tables. I got the lamp in and it is very well made - and the lamp shade is as pictured and looks great. I liked it so much - I purchased another one today before they ran out of them. Very nice lamp and the price isnt out of this world for a piece like this. The agate stones really add an unusual look to this piece and it stands out. This is something I can pass down to my kids as it is pretty durable.

The cap to hold the shade of lamp is made of plastic. When I try to tight it up, it broke. Please bear in mind that this is a very expensive lamp, almost 400 bucks. I would expect a much higher quality than plastic material for a crucial part to hold the big lamp in place. I didn’t return it because it is too much hassle and I like the shade, I also worried it will break more parts if I can’t pack it properly. Please mail me a new cap, if it is still made from plastic, I will order a metal one and I would like a 80 dollar refund for the inconvenience

It's a gorgeous lamp and really adds a lot of charm to my little reading corner. The tree design is quirky and charming but not so over-the-top that it looks out of place, and actually matches pretty well with the rest of my more modern/normal furniture.

The finial (the leaf-shaped top part that screws the shade to the lamp base) did initially come with some sort of defect. The metal was really thin/weak and actually started to break apart after I tried screwing it into the lamp. I contacted Light Bulbs Etc., however, and a guy named Ryan responded immediately, getting the factory to ship a replacement finial to me in less than a week with no further questions asked. Was very pleased with the response and with this purchase overall.

The wire for this lamp is much cheaper than I would expect for something that is coming close to $400 per lamp. That is the only reason this is a 4 star lamp and not 5 stars. It's otherwise a nice lamp with very unique rocks on it and each one is unique. I know this because I bought two of them and the base is very similar but the lamp shades are similar but not the same. different rocks in different slightly different places.

I'm trying to figure out how to add a dimmer switch to the wire, I will probably have to re-wire the lamp to make that happen if I care to do that.

The lamp may do well in a diffrent environment, like a library or at a desk - but I was looking for it to cast a warm light in my living room, but instead it was a "where were you on the night of...light". I think if the lamp shade was longer or rounded it would have cast a better light. I returned mine - $50 to return via the US Postal Service because of the weight!
