How to Size a Chandelier or Pendant For Your Space

DIning Room Size Guide

Dining Room Table

We recommend leaving approximately 30"- 36" between the bottom of your fixture and the surface of your dining table. The width of your fixture should be at least 6" narrower than the width of your table.

Kitchen Size Guide - Pendant

Kitchen Table

Choose a fixture with a width measuring between 1/2 and 3/4 the diameter of around table. As with other surfaces, we recommend leaving approximately 30"- 36" between the bottom of your fixture and the top of your table.

The key to sizing a linear light fixture is proportion. We recommend selecting a light measuring no more than 2/3 the length of the table or kitchen island. Consider hanging a pair of fixtures for extra long surfaces.

When I contacted Del Mar Fans about the ugly cheap plastic crystals that did not match their picture or description they told me to return it if I didn’t like it. I bought a smaller matching chandelier from Haus Appeal snd they were very accommodating. They are sending me new crystals!

    Purchased two models of this light fixture and I am happy with how they look and perform. They went together rather easily except for attaching the crystals. The crystals have a round ring much like a key ring. The round loop is small and you have to find the beginning and pry it open to get the crystal into the loop. A tedious process especially if you install the crystals after it is hung. There are some additional pieces that get attached to the main stem and I found that on my second chandelier installing the crystals on them on the ground and then installing the piece on the main stem was easier.
