    Looks great but questionable lifespan!

    This lamp is one of 4 I installed. The 3 older ones, now only 1 year in the weather, are showing some early signs of deterioration in the clear lacquer coating on the brass. Far from being unsightly, they may be an early warning sign of deterioration. On this larger, wall-mounted lamp, I noticed many fingerprints smeared on the inside of the beveled glass panels, requiring some tedious hand cleaning, only reachable from the bottom. At the moment, 5 days in, the lamp looks great and the price was certainly attractive. The metal parts are allegedly all brass, so they should weather gracefully.
