    Love the style, very poor quality. I assembled the lamp and then discovered that the stain/paint was flaking off the base. The base was polyurethane. Painted polyurethane... cheesy. Quoizel used to mean quality, now it appears cheap.

    Earlier I reviewed this item and gave it 3 stars because I didn't believe the shade was made from glass, but plastic. I contacted Quoizel and was assured that the shade is indeed made of glass but the glass is wrapped in paper covered with copper foil, disguising its glass-like properties.
