    We are in the process of renovating our kitchen. Cupboards will be off white when finished and maybe new paint color. But the lights are perfect for our space. They do light up the new quartz counter tops. If you like these lights, they do hang lower if you wish. Our kitchen ceiling is pretty low compared to the rest of the living spaces in the house so the pendants couldn't hang lower or they would be in people's way. You can have them hanging from a longer piece of whatever they use. They have a mission style accent; not too large or too small. They match furnishings in our house. We had them ainstalled by our contractor who had no problem with them. We like these very much.

      I spent weeks cleaning and painting walls and cabinets; antiquing cabinets; clear coating cabinets. I emptied and moved a huge breakfront. painted behind it, moved it back and filled it back up. I climbed ladders, and worked for hours on my hands and knees. All in order to revamp my kitchen and great room. I went to bed exhausted every night, aching in every muscle and joint. I am, after all 62.

      My husband spent half an hour putting up this light. It wouldn't have taken that long but it was in an awkward place. And I guarantee that this will be what people notice when they come in the house. ;)

      It's gorgeous. It makes my eyes feel good just to look at it. A 60 watt bulb casts the plenty of light. I found the 100 watt too bright for my tastes. That's a personal preference. I have an open floor plan and can see it in from my computer in the office, and I just keep looking at it.

      I highly recommend it.

      Installation is not a problem if you are reasonably handy. Pendant rods are provided in 6" increments with all necessary hardware. Measure down to just above eye level, and let the light shine!
