We couldn't find suitable shades for our old lamps, so we found and ordered both this floor lamp and a matching table lamp to accompany it. Both arrived in perfect condition and were just right for our living room. One worries about stained glass shades arriving unbroken, but the packing was protective and impressively done. Assembly was both easy and straightforward, requiring no more than five minutes per lamp. The workmanship was excellent throughout. The lamps are sturdy and just as depicted in the website illustrations. The shades are beautiful and add accent and color to our living room. We couldn't be more pleased and we recommend the Quoizel Reproductions to all who are interested. The prices may seem higher than one would expect, but the lamps are well worth it -- in this case, you really get what you pay for!

Kind of took a chance ordering such a delicate item as this online but
Amazon has never failed me yet, so, what the heck. The colors, style and
shape were what I wanted for our Florida living room. Placed the order
with free shipping and three days later in was delivered. The assembly was
easy, although I had to trim the threaded shaft for a perfect fit. I suppose
this could be a problem if you are not handy with tools at all. but really, it was
fairly simple. Put in a couple of 60w bulbs and wow, what a beautiful glow.
The craftmanship, look, weight and feel are above what I expected. It is a
beautiful lamp and looks wonderful in our home. Great deal . . .

Poorly machined parts don't fit properly, returned item

Such a lovely lamp, but the one I received had poorly machined parts that had difficulty fitting together. The finial and spacing rod were not the proper length, which resulted in an unstable shade that would swing like a bell.

The threading of the long finial screw was very rough, and even with high quality liquid silicon I use on antiques, electronics and musical instruments, it could not screw into the socket. And it stuck up far above the shade, providing no stability. The pieces of the body likewise had a less than sturdy fit.

These problems could be fixed with a trip to the hardware store, but I wanted a nice lamp, not another do-it-yourself project.

As I reconsidered my purchase, I realized that although the lamp *looks* nice, there was a roughness to the finish of both the body and the shade that I had not expected. The devil is in the details, as they say.

I'm returning the lamp and canceled an order for a matching floor lamp.

Such a disappointment!

The tiffany replica lamp shade is beautiful, better than how I expected from the online picture. However, the bronze finish base assembly is weak and does not screw together firmly - the lamp shade can spin on the plastic/metal frame even after you screw in all the pieces tightly. This might be par for the course but it makes me worry the thing will break after a few years and I'll be left with a beautiful lampshade and no lamp to put it on.....hopefully this will not happen!

Beautiful Shade--Inferior Base

Love at first sight when I saw this on Amazon. It came quickly. So excited. Well...
The packaging appeared to have been kicked around for a long time. The styrofoam
seemed to have melted together and was all over the room by the time I got to
the lamp. It had even melded onto the lamp cord. I pressed on and assembled the lamp.
The instructions that came with were for types of lamps, none exactly this one.
But, it was fairly intuitive, so got that done. Another reviewer noted that the base was
cheaply made of don't-know-what. I agree. BUT, the shade was my focus and it is lovely. Just
the colors I wanted. Casts a beautiful light. Then I noticed The Spot. A white spot on the
neck of the base, in full view on the front side. Once noticed, it is all I can see.
I tried coloring it, but whatever the material is (I think plastic!), wouldn't accept anything I tried.
I am in a wheelchair and live alone and refuse to burden someone else with the chore of repacking
and returning the thing. So, while still loving the shade, I'm sooo disappointed in the condition of
the base. Haven't found a way to contact the seller yet, but will certainly let them know of this when I do.
If they offer to send a replacement base, I will amend my review. We'll see.
