      I cannot say enough about this take on art deco lighting. It's a little updated, to be sure, but it transports us quite effectively to the period. The metal work is angular and modem without forgetting classical roots. The tiffany glass shade is beautiful. the lamp is easy to operate and, even with the heavy shade, is able to provide a fair amount of light for our living (together with a matching table lamp). The lamp is quality construction, and everything just feels sturdy and reliable, even the two chains for the separately controlled bulbs. If it's been thinking about the period, or paying attention to to listing at all, I would have realized that the lab would be shorter than typical contemporary American floor lamps -- but I was not thinking and was not paying attention and was surprised. Still, that was my fault, and it doesn't detracted in any way.

My only complaint would be the styrofoam packaging is the type that produces tiny styrofoam pellets that stick to every part of your body when you're taking the lamp out.       This is a well constructed floor lamp that is quite easy to assemble. The shade is beautiful Tiffany Glass and the base is heavy and stylish. My only gripe is the styrofoam packaging gets the little spheres everywhere and there is no avoiding this as how the tape used is impossible to remove without pulling a ton of spheres. A hand vac and 10 minutes is needed though and four weeks later I still find spheres on the floor.
