This pendant is even more beautiful than we could have hoped. It is high quality, heavy duty glass. An electrician/handyman (2-person team) removed our old brass chandelier and installed this one efficiently. We also had them add a ceiling medallion, which really completed the look. If you decide to add a medallion, which I highly recommend, be sure to check the canopy size, because this pendant has a 7" canopy which I learned is too large for many medallions. We need to upgrade our dimmer switch to be truly compatible with LED bulbs, but once we switched to higher quality LED bulbs we aren't noticing any flickering (if we used incandescent, there would be no problem at all).
This pendant light is so gorgeous that we have been leaving it on even when we're not in the dining room so we can see it as we walk by or just enjoy its reflection in the windows when we're in the next room. It was truly worth the price.
